In the case of artist partnerships (artists creating work together), each artist must have a current GAC Basic membership.

You will notice in the membership options that there is a $75 artist membership. However, Studio Tour artists do not need to pay for an artist membership, as those perks are included in your Tour registration.

1. I will ensure that my Studio is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and that I will be present for the full three days of the Tour.(Required)

Please select a clear and uncluttered square image representation of your best work on a plain background. A colourful detail or a tight crop of your work is most effective at this small size.
We require a new image each year. Resubmission of a photo previously used in the Studio Tour brochure won’t be accepted. Also, logos are not permitted in or as your image.)
Square Dimensions: If you are able to crop the image to a square - great. Otherwise GAC will reserve the right to crop it for you (finished dimensions will be 800 x 800px) When cropping, leave an allowance for our printer’s page bleed requirements which may trim off up to 1/4” of your image on either side.
Format: A full-size JPG image file in its original RGB colour space is preferred, saved at best image quality with no extra image compression. TIFF format is also acceptable.
Please do not convert your image to CMYK colour —we will handle this in brochure production.

Tour Registration: $310*

Registration fee Includes a 1-year website listing on theartsongabriola.ca ($60 value), and participation in the Tour Central Gallery ($20 value) as well as press and social media exposure leading up to Tour weekend.
Payment is due before February 28th at 4:00 pm.

*Artists finding it difficult to meet the financial requirements of the Tour fee are welcome to call the office and speak to the Executive Director about assistance. There are no forms or financial questions, simply a conversation about need and how we can help artists share their art practice during Studio Tour.

The Gabriola Arts Council affirms its commitment to principles of equity, mutual respect, inclusion, and diversity with a goal of nurturing a diverse and inclusive arts community. If you have recommendations for how we can support you and/or others to feel welcome in the Gabriola Studio Tour community, please let us know. A part of nurturing inclusion is providing financial support to those who have limited access to opportunities because of cost. Our events include an opportunity to donate to our Inclusivity program to provide reduced costs for tickets to events, workshops, etc.

We extend our Inclusivity Program into the Studio Tour, offering a limited amount of financial support to artists on a one-time-only per artist basis. Please consider adding a donation to your registration in support of this program.
