Ali Hosein is a multi-media artist working in stone, bronze, wood, paint and found objects. His creativity takes him to places from serious to playful but always thought provoking. He was born in Trinidad and has work in the permanent collection of the National Museum and Art Gallery of Trinidad and Tobago (T and T), Port of Spain, Trinidad, and has been recognized as a Trinidadian of note in Canada in the T and T 2012 commemorative book Trinidad and Tobago in Canada, that marks the 50 years of their diplomatic relations in Canada. Ali has been part of a number of private and public galleries in and around Victoria, BC as well. These include the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, the Maltwood Gallery of the University of Victoria, and the Sooke Regional Museum.
