Antoinette Hérivel has practiced as a professional artist for 30 years. She holds a BFA and an M Ed in Arts Education from the University of Regina, Saskatchewan. Since 2012 Antoinette has worked as a full time artist on Gabriola. Her previous work experience included teaching in the Arts Education program at the University of Regina and working as an artist in schools and communities. Antoinette's work has been exhibited widely and is included in public and private collections across Canada and the UK.
Antoinette describes herself as a narrative artist exploring balance and connection between past and present, memory, observation and imagination. She is interested in making work that reflects personal history and current experiences.
