ART ARC: Workshops for Teens

Teen Theatre Project: Gabriola Arts Council and the Teen Peer Helping Program @ The HOPE Centre

The Gabriola Arts Council is investing in our budding teen artists. We are partnering with the HOPE Centre’s Peer Helping Program to support the development of a Theatre Troupe called Shhh, It’s a Secret. Under the direction of professional actor, director and drama therapist Kayte Summers and Beat-boxer Kyle Shepard, the troupe has been working with a team of performance professionals to write, produce and star in a murder-mystery-musical to be presented on stage at the 2014 Gabriola Theatre Festival in August.

Check out the theatre arts workshops that are part of the Isle of the Arts Festival programming—While these workshops were designed with this theatre project in mind, we welcome and encourage all Gabriola teens to participate in these entertaining and valuable skill-building workshops. .

Although these workshops are free for all teens, participants MUST pre-register. Sign up as soon as possible to save yourself a spot!
