We have an unusual set up for IoTA Festival Coordinator this year, but we think everyone will approve. We were looking for someone who would take on the IoTA Festival Coordinator job and run with it for years to come. We found that person in Shelley Twist, but she is brand new to Gabriola. Shelley brings over 20 years of experience in community arts and she is an artist herself. How could we not bring her on board? So we decided to split the position and have Alina Cerminara (a veteran of the Arts Council having put her passion and energy into the job for almost five years), act as a mentor and show Shelley the ropes. Alina and Shelley will work together to bring Gabriola an engaging and dynamic Isle of the Arts Festival. They will undoubtedly be a fantastic team, as they are both full of energy and have personality plus.
Welcome Shelley and Welcome Back (temporarily) Alina! We are so excited for this year’s festival!
