The Gabriola Arts Council is inviting vendors and exhibitors of all kinds to participate in the Canada Day Night Market in the Folklife Village Parking Lot on Friday, July 1st from 6pm-10pm. There will be a FREE concert stage with family entertainment, local and guest performers, and lots of dancing, along with a Village Foods BBQ, wandering performers, and a boardwalk Night Market!

Come one, come all! Talented artists, artisans, crafters, community groups, local businesses, and other organizations are encouraged to take this chance to connect with the public. And if you have food, products or stuff to sell and barter, we want you to come and play! Artists, businesses, farmers, non-profit groups, and more are invited to register. Registration begins at 10am on Monday, May 9th, below.

The vendor spots are $25 each, and are 8′ wide (with a select few being 6.5′ wide). There is little to no power (it will stay light by the end). These spots will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis. Only members in good standing of the Gabriola Arts Council may participate. Please note: if you should choose to cancel your registration, refunds will only be given before June 1st, 2016.

To confirm your spot, you must fully complete the registration process by filling out the form below and submitting a payment. You can pay by credit card on the form (you do not need to have a PayPal account — just fill out the info under ‘Don’t have a paypal account’ section), or by cheque deposited in the Arts Centre mail slot (476 South Road). Please note that if you pay by cheque, your registration will only be finalized once your cheque has been dropped off and collected.

We will be promoting this event widely off-Island, and we expect to have many visitors on Gabriola for the long weekend. It’s a great opportunity to reach new audiences, customers, markets, and friends.

Terms and Conditions:

  • Each vendor will have a standard market table-sized section (from 6-8 feet – please specify if you need an 8 foot spot)
  • Setup will start at 3pm, in shifts. Once the list of vendors is confirmed, we’ll provide more specific details closer to the date with a broken down schedule to avoid traffic jams.
  • We will not be providing any tables. Please bring everything you need!
  • Oh, and you must be a Gabriolan. Or Mudgekin.

If you do not get a spot, we will keep a waiting list in case a spot becomes available or we manage to find more room. AKA the deck, if it is nice out!
