Forming in late 2018, this band hails from the halls of Nanaimo District Secondary School. With influences of 90s/ early 2000s alternative and emo scenes, as well as pacific-northwest folk, +internet-era indie and classic garage goodness, this music is sure to provide a unique lens of what’s currently brewing by the harbours. With the lineup shifting throughout the years, it’s most solid consisting of Dominic Le, Soma Love, Cooper Hills and Gabriola’s very own Aidan Olmsted, with some recent editions including Mary Allen and Sonam Maki, this collective is a driving force in the youth sector of Nanaimo’s eclectic local music scene. This group has many singles, an off the floor live (ish) EP, and a debut album, all of which are self or locally produced. Not only has their musical output been growing and stylistically evolving, but they have brought together a community of other young island based creatives, like photographers, filmmakers, producers and other artists.
