Debra has loved making art since she was a child and discovered she could draw! She studied at the Alberta Collage of Art in Calgary where she majored in fabric and metal design. A few years later she graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a BEd majoring in Fine Arts. Debra developed a great art program including a variety of mediums and taught these to high school students.
You will create one or even two beautiful landscapes or seascapes. You will be proud to take them home to show them to your friends and family. Debra will show you how to apply the chalks and blend them to create a beautiful sea or sky. You will get right in there using your own hands as paint brushes! So much fun! We will talk about the use of colour to create a mood and to establish the illusion of depth. You will come away from this workshop with the confidence to continue drawing with chalks at home. YES you can create a beautiful landscape or seascape! Beginners very welcome!
Materials to bring: an old shirt to wear that will get dirty, bring some landscapes or seascapes at sunset for inspiration
