Yarrow is an artist who likes to work with textiles and has been working with natural dyes for the last 4 years. She holds a BFA from Emily Carr and a Fashion Arts Cert. from VCC. She has been learning about natural dyes, tannins and mordants from the Maiwa School of textiles since 2015.
Participants will learn some of the shape-resist dye techniques called Shibori in Japan, Adire in Africa and Bandhani in India in a natural indigo vat. They will also learn some of the history of this dye plant and its importance today. The participants will go home with a beautiful organic cotton mull scarf and knowledge to continue the creative process at home.
Participant under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

You must register in advance for all workshops and events. Workshops have limited space – spots are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. A waiting list will be kept for workshops that are full. Register early – don’t be disappointed!
