Date: Jun. 7, 2015
Time: 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Location: Descanso Bay Regional Park
The ever fascinating and enchanting “Interactive Sea Life” display will be the main scheduled feature of the Oceans Day event as local divers and biologists share their enthusiasm and knowledge of our marine environment. DFO biologists will be on hand to show you the amazing world of marine plankton and seaweed! You will see tiny plants and animals under microscopes and be amazed! Talk to local citizen scientists about kelp and eelgrass, our local marine animals and seashore activities, and about protecting our waterways and watersheds.
If you have a sea story to share, a sea shanty to sing, a poem about the ocean, or some marine art to share – step up to the Oceans Day “stage” and entertain and amaze your friends & neighbours.
Parking is limited in the park. Consider carpooling, ride your bike or hike in.
