In 2017 we will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Gabriola Arts Council. We’re planning to celebrate and to build a year of celebrating arts and culture on Gabriola — past, present, and future.

We’ve already got some ideas in the works, and now we’d like to invite the community to contribute to the conversation. We’re holding an idea-generating, brain-storming meeting, and I hope you’ll join in. The meeting details are below. This is a one-time event, and attending the meeting doesn’t mean you’ll be signed on to a committee or assigned a task. However, there will be a committee, and those who are interested and have the time will be welcome to contribute.

Can’t make it on that day or hate attending meetings? Please email your thoughts and ideas to me in advance, and we’ll add them to the discussion. We’ll be looking for ideas that include as many forms and practices as possible — visual arts, music, theatre, craft, and more.
