MAINSTAGE APPLICATIONS CLOSED FOR 2017
Exciting news! We’re planning a new Music Festival on beautiful Gabriola Island for Labour Day Long Weekend—September 2-3, 2017.
The two-day multi-disciplinary music festival on our beautiful Isle of the Arts will—true to GAC’s mandate—celebrate the arts in all forms: music, visual arts, spoken word, and more, where artists can sell and display their work, entertain their community and others, collaborate with one another, instruct festival-goers, and work on a variety of levels with other community members.
This festival will celebrate community, love, compassion, inclusivity, and mindfulness. There is no better place for this than on a beautiful rock in the ocean, surrounded by good people, great music, cool vibes, and more art than you can imagine.
And we want YOU to be a part of it!
We are looking for awesome musicians, performance artists, visual artists, wandering performers, crafters, workshop instructors, plant-based food enthusiasts, and all other forms of rad people to be involved on so many levels!
Are you an interested musical performer? Please fill out the Gabriola Music Festival Music Application and email it (and/or any questions you might have) to alina@artsgabriola.ca. It can be sent in the body of the email or in a word doc. Application deadline is March 24, 2017.
Wait, there’s more!
Do you have something to teach? Art? Yoga? Herbs? Lead meditation? Circus? Anything? Please fill out and email a Gabriola Music Festival Workshop Application to alina@artsgabriola.ca.
Are you an interested visual artist? We hope to feature art projects/installations in any media throughout the festival grounds. We’re new to this, so for this year the sky is the limit! (Stay tuned for our vendor call down the road.) Do you like to perform? Some circus, clowning, magic, juggling, or more cool things? Let us know what you do! Are you a plant-based food enthusiast, committed to protecting the rights of all living beings and our beautiful planet? Food served, sold, and created at this festival will be entirely plant-based! Join us in making it so! Or are you hoping to get involved in making this awesome festival happen in any way that fits well into your life?
If you answered YES to any of these, please email alina@artsgabriola.ca. It’s an ever-growing family filled with great peeps and we want you to be a part of it! Especially in these grassroot stages.
