GAC Volunteer Position:
Facility and Equipment Manager
The completion of our renovations and the acquisition of a full suite of audiovisual gear for community use means we have a busy calendar of bookings for the Gabriola Arts & Heritage Centre and for our equipment. We’re looking for one or two detail-oriented, hands-on individuals with flexible schedules to help us take care of our users’ needs, and to manage and coordinate the use of the GAHC and our equipment.
Working closely with GAC’s Administrative Coordinator (who manages bookings for the Centre), this team would be responsible for:
- Ensuring that all necessary furniture or equipment is available for GAHC renters (e.g. chairs, tables, projector, audio equipment, etc.);
- Coordinating pick-up and return of audio equipment for off-site use;
- Organizing supplies for artists hanging shows (e.g. hanging gear, ladder, etc.);
- Other tasks related to ensuring the best experience possible for GAHC renters and equipment users.
Note that the position does not involve booking the Centre or the equipment, or cleaning the GAHC.
