This can be such a wonderful time of year. It is the time of year when we pause to reflect on the creative expressions that have enriched our community throughout the year. We are surrounded by creativity; offering us fresh insights and new understandings; opening up new paths and experiences that unite us, guide and teach us; and fostering new and old relationships. We are thankful to all of you in our community who have, through your teaching and guidance, contributed to our learning and growth. It is your strength and belief in us that reinforces our appreciation of the familiar aspects we cherish.
 
The ongoing support that the Arts Council has received from the Gabriola community to maintain, and grow, our programs this past year is truly, truly appreciated. As is the dedication of our staff who enthusiastically guided us through a successful year, all backed by our Board of Directors.
 
We are collectively privileged to serve this wonderful community. It is our hope that this generous and caring spirit will continue, expanding support not only for the arts but also reaching out to include as many people as possible to share in the spirit of caring and giving that enriches our beloved island.
 
From everyone at the Jack Pine Cabin – Chelsea, Kathy, and Natalie – as well as Diana and Nicole – and your Council’s Board of Directors – Sas, Bill, Ardyth, Joan, Roweena, Corinne, Lottie, Anne, and Louise – we wish you all a warm and safe holiday season filled with hope and happiness.
