As the excitement builds for the upcoming Isle of the Arts Festival, scheduled to take place from March 28 to April 7, we are pleased to announce the lineup of events and workshops.

The Isle of the Arts Festival, organized by the Gabriola Arts Council, promises a vibrant and diverse array of workshops, performances, and events, showcasing the artistic spirit of the community. With just a month left until the festival kicks off, attendees can start planning their schedules with the help of the comprehensive brochures.

If you live on Gabriola, today you’ll receive a brochure with your Sounder newspaper today February 28th. Or you can pick up a brochure at a local business or the Gabriola Arts Council office between 9am and 5pm.

Registration for arts council members opens on March 11 at 10:00 am and non-member registration opens March 12 at 10:00. Interested participants can secure their spots online at artsgabriola.ca/isle-of-the-arts-festival/ or visit the Gabriola Arts and Heritage Centre in person from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on those days. Given the high demand for many workshops, becoming a member at artsgabriola.ca/join-gac/ can provide a significant advantage.

March 30 – One Book One Community with Angela Sterritt and Katherine Palmer Gordon discussing Angela’s National Bestselling Book “Unbroken”.

March 28 – Joelle Rabu in Concert with Nico Rhodes.

March 31 – Cedar Healing Circle with Gary George.

April 3 – Pi’qwin Salmon – experience the preparation of a traditional Indigenous lunch with Jared Qwustenuxun Williams.

April 5 – Spring Night Market

April 6 – Community Dance Social with DJ Gwen Spinks

April 7 – Arty Party
