Nina Turczyn is a graphic designer and illustrator who began silversmithing as a secondary career.
After graduating from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design with a degree in design, Nina travelled from one coast to the other and started Paprika – a freelance design and illustration business.
Nina learned silversmithing from her mother, a master silversmith for over 40 years, and quickly picked it up as a hobby when she wasn’t designing. Her line of silver jewellery has grown in popularity and demand over the past 7 years and has since turned into a successful business, with her work being showcased in such places as the BC Royal Museum Gift Shop in Victoria, the One of a Kind Show in Vancouver, and even a gallery as far as Qatar, in the Middle East!
Nina’s jewellery was recently featured in Canada’s ACF Magazine.
