$25 annual fee. Our most popular membership category. This membership type is meant for individuals, community members, and anyone who wishes to be the first to know about GAC events. Join as a Basic Member
$10 annual fee. Receive all of the benefits of basic membership at a discount. Verification of school ID required. Join as a Student Member
$75 annual fee. Up to 4 email addresses can be associated with this membership. Share a membership among family members, and you’ll all be up-to-date on the latest GAC happening, and share in the members-only discounts and early bird access. Join as a Household Member
$90 annual fee. Gabriola, Mudge & DeCourcy residents receive all of the benefits of membership + an artist’s page in the Gabriola Creative Directory: TheArtsOnGabriola and an opportunity to show and sell your artwork online. Join as an Artist
Complimentary membership. The Gabriola Arts Council welcomes participation from Snuneymuxw artists, in acknowledgement that the land on which we live and create is the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Snuneymuxw First Nation. In recognition of this, Snuneymuxw artists are offered a complimentary membership to the Gabriola Arts Council. Join as an Artist.
$100 annual fee. Business members may place 2 banner ads in the newsletter per year. You may associate 2 separate emails with this membership. Join as a Business Member
$50 annual fee PLUS a $450 Donation to GAC. Partners enjoy 2 free event tickets per year, an honourable mention and our endless gratitude. Become a Partner
$100 annual fee PLUS a $900 Donation to GAC. Patrons enjoy 4 free event tickets per year, an honourable mention and our endless gratitude. The Patron membership covers 2 individuals in your household. Become a Patron

Did you know?
The Gabriola Arts Council has more than 500 members—a good portion of the Island’s population! GAC has been organizing and providing arts and culture events on Gabriola Island for more than 25 years.
Why Join GAC?

As well as supporting the arts on Gabriola, your membership includes a regular newsletter of events and items of interest to the arts community on Gabriola Island—you’ll always know what’s going on! You’ll be the first to hear about events, programs, happenings, fundraisers and heart-warming stories about community and art happenings on Gabriola.
As a member, you are able to vote at our Annual General Meeting and contribute to the conversation around activities and events organized by the Arts Council. We welcome and encourage the input and participation of all members as it is your arts council.
- Your membership fees support the great programs and events offered by the Arts Council, where 20% go directly to the Gabriola Artist Support Program (GASP!)
- You will receive our regular e-newsletter packed full of arts and community events and news. Don’t miss out on up-to-date event and exhibit information, and a whole lot more. It will appear in your in-box every second Wednesday.
- You will be able to promote your arts, culture, or community event in our newsletter. It’s a great way to reach interested community members.
- Members have the ability and opportunity to help shape and advocate for local arts and culture.
- You will receive a reduced rate at GAC-sponsored professional development workshops or programs.
- Artist memberships have great perks - like discounts on art supplies and an artist page in the GAC creative directory.
- We rely on a variety of public and private grants to run our events and programs. Granting agencies like to know that an organization has active community support. The more members the Arts Council has, the more money we can potentially bring to the island—and most of this money goes directly into Gabriola’s economy. Please help us bring the money to Gabriola!
- You will have a vote at our AGM. Add your voice to the development of arts and culture programming and events on Gabriola.
- You have to be a member in order to teach a workshop at the Isle of the Arts Festival, exhibit at one of the GAC artist markets throughout the year, or participate in the Thanksgiving Studio Tour.
- Members receive a reduced rate on rental of the Gabriola Arts & Heritage Centre.
- Members are invited to join Gabriola Arts Council committees.
- Members get that great feeling of being part of something active and exciting in your community.
